RE: Some Pics From Bea Canyon Near Hemet/Riverside Area

Ahh the memories!:B
Grew up in Hemet and used to take the trucks straight for the canyon at the first drop of rain or snow.
(Of course we always waited for school to get out first:W)
That was a great place
Those were the days. Thanks for the photo's
(Tell that kid in Red shirt-photo #3 to get a shoulder harness on!Those rhino's like to lay down on their sides.)

RE: Pismo.........first time need some suggestions

Pismo is a pacifier for folks too far from real dunes. Don't waste your vacation time or money for such an important trip.
Head to Idaho!

RE: Glamis Dunes..........first time

First of all...
Glamis for a Honeymoon location? WOW! Does she have a sister?
What a girl! And in August no less!
Yes it will be extremely HOT.
but....
If you were to come during a full moon cycle.....
and IF you were able to hook up with someone familiar with the terrain who you could trust.....
and IF you have good lights on your quad,
you might be able to consider a full moon night ride. There will be a few others out there on a full moon night.
Unless you are a battle tested, Iraqi war veteran, night time is the ONLY bearable time to ride in summer.
But...
I'd strongly advise you NOT to and to postpone until late Oct. (or later)
The sand in the summer is VERY soft and very nasty for the novice (during the day, let alone at night), as virtually NO ONE has been out there since May/June.
Part of the enjoyment of Glamis is the activity you'll see as the place is more populated. It is like NO OTHER.:B
Take wifey for a nice weekend stay somewhere close to home for the Honeymoon, and save your money for a Fall/Winter trip.
You won't be sorry. ;)

RE: MLK weekend

Going to Glamis cleanup, helping at the registration tables.
Remember: ride safe, ride with a partner, never leave your vehicle if stranded and call for De Anza Rescue Unit BEFORE you wait too long.
De Anza Rescue Unit....So others may live.
what's the number?

RE: Riding and camping in Baja?

Sorry, but especially after what happened after the Baja this year, you won't catch me or my expensive toys south of the border.
I'll 2nd that! My annual baja trips, (25 years worth) have come to an end & stopped last year.
I'm through with Baja!

Just a halogen bulb. Replaced one two years ago. Don't remember it to be a pain.
But then sometimes I just don't remember

RE: Help repair accident in trailer!

Well, I let my son drive the ATV into the trailer (WW FS2500) and he must of forgot where the brakes were because he kept on going and put a nice size hole where the pantry is located. Looks pretty simple to fix considering it's just the cheap, very thin board, but how do I repair the billet color? How is the coloring applied to RV walls? Is this wallpaper or something different. Can I get some kind of covering to fix this or a replacement panel to fix the whole thing? I could half-as$ the fix but would like to fix it right and return to like new.
Thanks!
Chris

RE: HELP - Need wheel & axle service near Ridgecrest

You should be able to drive out with three good wheels on a two axle trailer.
I've done it from Glamis to SD once.

RE: Fuel Tank Capacity

I doubt Attitude is that smart.
When we bought our 23AK I was told that it has a 36 gal tank but because of the way it is vented I would not get much more that 25 gal in it.
Now thats Quality!

RE: Pismo Beach: Driving On Sand

I have a travel trailer and my wife would love to camp right on the beach.
I have never camped at Pismo but have a question. Can one pull a 30' trailer on the beach in this area with a two-wheel-drive truck without getting stuck in the sand?
NO!
Get wifey a Hotel room with a view.

RE: Stuck in the dirt, in a Motorhome

Sounds like someone didn't know the limitations of their equipment.
You can't go into your local Walmart or dollar & dime store and get the $25 "TOWROPE" and expect it to solve your problems.
